Sansevere asked why the fire department seemed to be fighting the ambulance <br />addition. Moorse stated that the only issue now was financial because the ambulance <br />personnel would not have access to the fire station. They would have a separate entrance <br />and all their needs met in a separate portion of the building. <br />Nygard stated he had an issue with granting a variance on new construction. Flint stated <br />that the variance was not required because of the b"* bay, but because of the wetland. He <br />also stated that if they were to deny the 6"* bay, it should be through a direct approach, and <br />not by means of denying the variance. Jabbour stated they had tried to push the building <br />north, but there is a row of large, mature trees on the north edge of the property. Also, a <br />temporary bridge for the highway construction will cut through the north comer of the <br />property. With the wetlands to the east of the property, they cannot relocate the building <br />on the property. <br />Nygard moved, and Sansevere seconded, to approve the plat as presented. <br />Vote: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />Sansevere moved, and Flint seconded, to approve the 10’ setback variance. <br />Vote: Ayes 3, Nays 1 (Nygard). <br />Sansevere moved, and Flint seconded, to deny approval of the conditional use permit <br />per Code Section 10.75, Subdivision 1 to allow a hose tower of 34.8*. <br />Vote: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />Flint moved, and Sansevere seconded, to waive lot fees for Lot 1, and defer fees for <br />Lot 2. <br />Vote: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />Flint r.ioved, and Nygard seconded, to charge Stormwater and Drainage Trunk fees <br />to Lot 1, and defer them for Lot 2. <br />Vote: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />Flint moved, and Nygard seconded, to require lighting and signage to meet City <br />codes and be low key. <br />Vote: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />Flint moved, and Sansevere seconded, to approve that Lot 2 should be platted as an <br />outlot. <br />Vote: Ayes 4, Nays 0.
