A RESOLUTION GRANTING OF VARIANCES <br />TO MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE <br />SECTION 10.22, SUBDIVISIONS 1 AND 2 <br />FILE NO. 01-2706 <br />WHEREAS, Richard R. Stark and Jane M. Stark (hereinafter "the applicants") <br />are owners of the property located at 815 Partenwood Road within the City of Orono <br />(hereinafter "the City") and legally described as follows: <br />Lot 2, Block 2, Partenwood (hereinafter "the property"); and <br />WHEREAS, the applicants have applied to the City for variances to Municipal <br />Zoning Code Section 10.22, Subdivisions I and 2 to allow the remodeling and expansion of <br />the existing residence to include a four stall garage, construction of a screen porch 38' from <br />the 929.4 OHWL mark by adding 57 s.f. to a lakeside deck, and adding 140 s.f. to a lakeside <br />deck located 33' from the 929.4 OHWL where 75' is required and a hardcover variance of <br />4.233 s.f. (15.0%) where 5,815 s.f. (20%) is existing and none is allowed. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono. <br />Minnesota: <br />FINDINGS <br />I. This application was reviewed as Zoning File ^01-2706. <br />The property is located in the LR-IB Single Family Lakeshore Residential <br />Zoning District requiring one acre in area. The property' consists of 1.02 acre. <br />3.1 he City Council approved Resolution No. 4693 for variances to permit a four <br />stall garage and additional living space to the existing residence. <br />4.1 he property owner made changes to the approved site plan, and the Orono <br />Planning Commission reviewed this application on February 19, 2002.
