(1.37 acres) <br />Application Summary: The applicants applied for a building permit and it was determined the <br />proposal needed an average lakeshore setbaick variance. The applicants are proposing to construct <br />an addition to the existing residence. The addition consists of an attached 2 stall garage with a <br />bedroom above it. The garage is the same level as the existing basement. The new bedroom will <br />be on the first floor above the garage. The applicants are also proposing to construct a deck on the <br />lake side of the residence. <br />The property is a comer lot. Therefore, to meet the intent of the average lakeshore setback <br />requirement, the residence must be set back from the lake at least as far as the only adjacent <br />residence. <br />Pertinent Code Section: <br />1. Section 10.22.Subd. 1 (B)and Section 10.56.Subd. 16(C)(6): Average Lakeshore Setback: The <br />average lakeshore setback line shall be a straight line connecting the most lake ward protmsions of <br />the residence buildings on the immediately adjacent lakeshore lots.
