MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO CITY COUNCIL <br />Moaday, Jauary 28,2002 p[B 1 1 2002 <br />7:00 o’clock p.m. <br />CIIY Ur Oriyyi»U <br />ROLL <br />The Council met on the above-mentioned date with the following members present: <br />Mayor Barbara Peterson, Council Members Jim White, Jay Nygard, and Bob Sansevere. Council <br />Member Richard Flint was absent. Representing Staff were City Administrator Ron Moorse, City <br />Attorney Tom Barrett, Planning Director Michael Gaffron, Zoning Administrator Paul Weinberger, <br />Zoning Administrator Wendy Bottenberg, City Engineer Tom Kellogg, Public Services Director <br />Greg Gappa, and Recorder Jackie Young. <br />Mayor Peterson called the meeting to order at 7:00 o’clock p.m. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />(#1) Approve/Amend <br />Items 9,10,13,14,15,16,17,18, and 19 were added to the Consent Agenda. <br />White moved, Nygard seconded, to approve the Consent Agenda as amended. <br />VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />*(#2) REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING OF JANUARY 14,2002 <br />White moved, Nygard seconded, to approve the minutes of the Regular City Council meeting of <br />January 14,2002, as submitted. VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />*(#3) COUNCIL WORK SESSION OF JANTf ARY 15,2002 <br />White moved, Nygard seconded to approve the minutes of the Council Work Session of <br />January 15,2002, as submitted. VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />Charles Pyle, 3548 Ivy Place, thanked the Planning Commission for the fine job they did on his <br />application. <br />PARK COMMISSION CO^IMENTS - Rick Meyers, Representative <br />Meyers stated a few storm damaged and diseased trees have been remove*’ »rom the old Navarre Park. <br />Meyers reported the Park Commission did receive $2,000 from the M,> Society towards the purchase of a <br />drinking fountain at the Navarre Park, with the Park Commission considering a permanent type of <br />restroom facility at this location. <br />Meyers reported the structures at the new Navarre Park have also been demolished, with some trash still <br />remaining to be removed. Meyers stated the majority of the site has been cleaned up. <br />PAGEl
