His ending pay rate as a CSO <br />was $12.11 per hour plus benefits including sick leave, vacation, and health insurance. <br />On August 13,2001, the City Council approved Ron’s appointment to the position of part-time <br />police officer. Because Ron was moving from a full-time position with full benefits to a part-time <br />position with no benefits, it was agreed that the step II pay adjustment would be accelerated so <br />that it would be effective January 1,2002, which was to generally coincide with his successful <br />completion of the Field Training Program. Officer Hendricks has successfully completed his <br />Field Training Program, and it is recommended that his pay be increased to the step II rate of <br />$14.75 per hour, effective January 1,2002. <br />Officer Hendricks will be eligible to receive an increase to the Step 111 rate, upon completion of <br />an additional 1,040 hours of service from January 1,2002. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion to approve part time Step II ($14.75) pay increase for Officer Hendricks effective January <br />1,2002. <br />3 <br />i <br />ii
