Meet with County Transportation Staff Regarding Key transportation issues <br />a. Crosswalk <br />b. Left turn signal at south bound 19. <br />2. Obtain information regarding the usage of the Crosswalk <br />a. from users of the park and ride <br />b. from business owners and employees <br />c. Information regarding when and how often the crosswalk is currently used <br />d. Information regarding when and how often the crosswalk would be toed if it was in the <br />most convenient location, and people felt safe using it. <br />e. Information regarding the future routes for pedestrian travel in the area of, and across. <br />County Road 15. <br />3. Work with the affected property owners and business owners, the Park and Ride users, and <br />Metro Transit to upgrade and relocate the bus shelter to the optimum location. <br />4. Work out a crosswalk solution, with the County Transportation staff, that provides a safe, <br />convenient pedestrian crossing of County Road IS. <br />5. Implement an informational effort to educate drivers regarding the crosswalk. <br />6. Install the crosswalk. <br />7. Contact John Klick, Casco Point resident, regarding the City assisting Casco Point residents in <br />cleaning junk and debris from public property on Casco point. <br />a. Coordinate the planning for a neighborhood clean-up effort, %vith City assistance, to <br />occur in late April or early May. <br />5. Develop a plan for planting trees along the County Road 15 Commercial area. <br />a. Work with a landscape architect regarding the general concept and feasibility of <br />providing planting areas for trees in the sidewalk space on the north side of County Road <br />1 5, and at the edge of the roadway on the south side of County Road 15. <br />1 ) . is the sidewalk in front of the retail businesses along the north side of County Road <br />15 wide enough to accommodate spaces for trees while still accomm^ating <br />pedestrian movement? <br />2) .
