Gappa <br />Title Director of Public Services <br />Administrator Reviewed: Agenda Section: <br />Public Services Director’s Report <br />Item Description: Public Hearing Homesteaa Sewer, Order Plans and Specifications- Resolution <br />We have received a signed petition from the Homestead Neighborhood residents requesting an <br />assessment sanitary sewer project. A feasibility study has been completed with an estimated project <br />cost of $81,000 which results in a proposed assessment of SI 1,600 per unit for seven units. The <br />^proximate annual cost for a 1 S-year assessment is S1.250 per year. <br />A* the October 13th meeting, the Council accepted the Feasibility Study and scheduled a Public <br />Hearing to be held at the November 10th Council meeting. A Public Hearing Notice was sent to all <br />of the property owners, and a Legal Notice of this hearing was published for two consecutive weeks <br />in the Laker/Pioneer Newspaper. The Council needs to conduct the hearing to obtain resident input <br />on this project. If a favorable response is received from the neighborhood residents, the next step in <br />process would be for the Council to adopt the resolution ordering preparation of plans and <br />specifications for this project. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Approve/ Not Approve Resolution Ordering Preparation of Plans and Specifications for the <br />Homestead Neighborhood sanitary sewer improvements. <br />-t.I ■ i-~ .............. f
