Gappa <br />Title Director of PubI ic Serv ices <br />Administrator Reviewed: Agenda Section: <br />Public Sen ices Director's Report <br />Item Description: Adopt Assessment Roir Old Long Lake Road Sewer Extension- Resolution <br />Two property owners have signed assessment waivers requesting to be assessed for the Old Long <br />Lake Road Sanitary Sewer Extension project. There is a total of eight units in the project area, and <br />the total project costs are $52,000 which results in a $6,500 cost for each unit. The property owner <br />of 645 Old Long Lake Road, who requested the project, will be assessed for se\en unit.s. The <br />property owner at 250 Ruann Road will be assessed for one unit. The assessment terms are for a 15- <br />year time period at an annual interest rate of 6.25%. <br />The remaining six properties in the project area will be charged the applicable connection charge for <br />the project when they connect to the sewer. The connection charge will be S6.500 in 2004 and will <br />be increased for inflation every year. Any future connection fees collected will be refunded to the <br />property owner of 645 Old Long Lake Road. This is the same procedure that was approved for the <br />recent North Long Lake East Sewer Project for which one property owner funded the project costs. <br />The staff reconunendation is for approval of the resolution adopting the assessment roll. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion to approve the resolution adopting the assessment roll for the Old Long Lake Road Sanitary <br />Sewer Extension project.
