r <br />A RESOLUTION GRANTING VARIANCES <br />TO MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE <br />SECTION 78-420 (B) <br />FILE NO. 03-2957 <br />WHEREAS, Joseph Thies. a single person, (hereinafter “the applicant ”) is <br />the owner of the property located at 1180 Willow Drive North within the City of Orono <br />(hereinafter the "City”) and legally described as follows: <br />The North one hundred and ninety-six feet (196 ’) of the West two hundred and <br />twenty feet (220’) of the Southwest quarter (SW!4) of SEC. 27, TWP. 118, RGE. <br />23, subject to road easement over the Westerly thirty-three feet (33 ’) thereof, <br />according to the map or plat thereof on file or of record in the office of the <br />register of deeds in and for said county and state. Hennepin County, Minnesota <br />(hereinafter the “property ”); and <br />WHEREAS, the applicant has made application to the City of Orono for a <br />rear yard setback variance to Orono Municipal Zoning Code Section 78-420 (B) to allow <br />construction of an addition to the home which consists of an attached garage and living <br />space. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of <br />Orono, Minnesota: <br />FINDINGS <br />1. <br />9 <br />This application was reviewed as Zoning File #03-2957. <br />The property is located in the RR - IB zoning district, which requires a <br />minimum lot area of 2 acres.
