t <br />A RESOLUTION COMMENDING <br />MARK GANGELHOFF <br />FOR HIS EFFORTS IN RELATION TO A HRE <br />IN THE CITY OF ORONO <br />Whcreis, on September 1,2003, at 0247 hours, the Orono Police and Wayzata Fire <br />Departments received a call of smoke in the area of Chevy Chase Drive and Femdale Road Ln the <br />City of Orono, and; <br />Whereas, police and fire officials located a fire by the fireplace outside a residence on <br />Chevy Chase Drive, and; <br />Whereas, seven occupants and the family dog were evacuated safely and without injury <br />firom die home, and; <br />Whereas, the Wayzata Fire Department determined that the nature of the fire was such as <br />to not cause the smoke alarms to function, and; <br />Whereas, had a citizen not made a phone call to 911, the occupants of the home may <br />have perished. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Orono City Council does hereby <br />commend Mark Gangelhoff for his care and concern for the safety and well-being of others; and docs <br />also extend sincere appreciation to him, on behalf of the Orono City Council, the Orono Police <br />Department, the Wayzata Fire Department, and the citizens of this community. <br />Adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting held on October 13,2003. <br />ATTEST: <br />Linda S.
