ScpCcmbcr IS, 2003 <br />Page 2 ofS <br />Background <br />The applicant submitted plans to rebuild an existing deck. Prior to submitting plans for a <br />variance the e.xisting deck was removed. There was no building permit for this deck and <br />therefore staff is unable to confirm the decks size. The survey submitted shows a <br />proposed 26 x 10 foot deck. The applicant has stated that he will be replacing the deck <br />that was tom down and the new deck will be of the exact size and shape as the old deck <br />with the exception of a staircase that will be moved within the footprint of the deck to <br />reduce hardcover. Staff has no way of confirming the size of the deck prior to it being <br />tom down. The latest assessor’s records show a 26 x 6 foot deck.
