This feature
includes 4 columns set approximately 3.5'-4.5' from the side lot line, w ith an open beam connection
to the house about 1 -2' below' the gable line. The feature also includes louvers ^tween the overhead
beams as a sun shield. Assuming the louvers arc positioned vertically and are spaced widely, they
will not act as hardcover. CouncU is asked to reach a conclusion as to whether the width or
diameter of the columns is as anticipated, and whether the louvers are acceptable.
Drainage Plan
The City Engineer has reviewed the grading and drainage plan. His comments are attached as
Exhibit D. With minor adjustments and attention to certain details, the drainage plan Would :^>peaI
to be acceptable. It is noted that construction of the swales as proposed will require some handwork
and may require cooperation of the neighbors, perhaps a construction easement, to construct the plan.
J
