A RESOLUTION GRANTING VARIANCES <br />TO MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE <br />SECTION 10.22, SUBDIVISION 2 <br />FILE NO. 03-2930 <br />WHEREAS, Richard & Delores Little, husband and wife, (hereinafter "the <br />applicants") are the owners of the property located at 2775 Shadywood Road w ithin the City of <br />Orono (hereinafter the "City") and legally described as follows: <br />Tracts E. F & G except the northeasterly 7 feet thereof. Registered Land <br />Sur\ey No. 358. Files of the Registrar of Titles, Hennepin County. <br />Minnesota <br />(hereinafter the "property"); and <br />WHEREAS, the applicants have made application to the City of Orono for a variance <br />to Orono Municipal Zoning Code Section 10.22, Subdivision 2 to construct a 2-stall garage addition <br />over existing driveway hardcover in c.xcess of 25% allowed by Code. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br />Minnesota: <br />FINDINGS <br />1. This application was reviewed as Zoning File #03-2930. <br />2. The property is located in the LR-1B Zoning District, which requires minimum lot area of 1 acre <br />and minimum lot width of 140’. The area of the property is 0.70 acres (30.556 s.f.) and defined <br />lot width is 101.2’. <br />3, The Planning Commission reviewed this application at a public hearing held on August 18,2003 <br />and recommended approv al of the hardcover variance, based on the following findings: <br />a) The proposal will not have a negative impact on light, air or open space in the <br />neighborhood. <br />1 <br />Ml
