MN 55323^ <br />July 22,2003 <br />Dear Neighborhood Residents; <br />The purpose of this letter is to inform you of a proposed subdivision development in the City Medina <br />adjacent to the Orono City limits. This proposed development is located west of Willow Drive <br />between the Orono City Limits and the existing Medina Momingside development. The existing <br />Medina Momingside Development was developed in the 1960 ’s and has eighty l/3*acre lots with <br />both municipal sewer and water. Municipal water service is provided from wells located in the <br />existing development. Sanitary sewer service is provided by the City of Orono via a sewer force <br />main that discharges into a gravity sewer adjacent to the high school. This proposed new subdivision <br />contains twenty-one 3/4-acre lots on 22 acres, and the property currently has one single family <br />residence located on it. The area in the City of Orono adjacent to this development is zoned for a <br />2-acre dry buildablc minimum lot size with private wells and septic systems. <br />The City of Medina has nxeiyed a p reliminary plat application for this project. A copy of the Council memo from <br />the meeting is enclosed for your information. The Council directed City staff to notify the Orono <br />property owners in the vicinity of this proposed development and provide them information <br />regarding this project.
