Neighborhood Recommendation <br />Orono Plan Commission <br />Neighbors of Phil & Jennifer Smith <br />July 19.2003 <br />Variance Request #03-2916,2600 West Lafayette Road <br />Members of the Planning Commission; <br />We, the neighbors of Phil and Jennifer Smith, would like to support the Smiths in their <br />variance application. <br />We Understand; <br />1. Phil and Jennifer Smith have made application for a variance to allow them to <br />build; <br />a. a screen porch, <br />b. an addition to the front of the existing garage, and <br />c. a partial second story (which is within the 75* setback) <br />2. The Smith’s proposed to add 601 sq. ft. of hardcover in the 75-250’ zone and <br />reduce 300 sq. ft. of existing hardcover in the 0-75’ zone (a I for 2 ratio). <br />3. City stafThas recommended approval of the variance application, with the <br />condition that hardcover be reduced 1 for 1.
