Section 10.56, Subd. 7 (A) and Section 10.56, Subd. 16(C)(1): Natural Environment <br />Lakes: French Lake is classified as a Natural Environment Lake, requiring a structural <br />setback of 150’ from the OHWL of 930.5’. <br />2. <br />3. <br />4. <br />5. <br />6. <br />Section 10.22, Subd. 2, Section 10.56, Subd. 16 (L)(I) and Section 10.56, Subd. 16 <br />(JK3): Hardcover within 75’: No hardcover or impervious surface shall be placed, <br />located or constructed within 75 feet of the Ordinary High Water Level of any lake or <br />tributary. (Request: to permit hardcover within the 0 to 75 ’ setback zone from the <br />OHWL of French Lake where no hardcover is permitted). <br />Section 10.55, Subd. 8: Grading, Filling & Excavating within 75*: No filling, grading, <br />dredging, excavation, hardcover, temporary or permanent structures, obstructions, septic <br />systems, well or other construction shall be allowed on any land within 75 feet of the <br />ordinary high water elevation of any lake shoreline, nor on land abutting, adjoining or <br />affecting said area to permit grading, filling and excavating within 75' of the <br />OHWL of French Lake where no grading, filling or excavating is permitted). <br />Section 10.56, Subd 16 (J) (4b): Movement of more than 500 cubic yards: For <br />movement of more than 500 cubic yards of material anywhere within the Shoreland <br />Overlay District, conditional use permit approval by the City Council is required in <br />addition to the required land alteration permit. (Request: to allow movement of more than <br />500 cubic yards of material within the shoreland overlay district). <br />Section 10.20. Subd. 3 (M) and Section 10.28, Subd. 4(A): Animals: Animals shall be a <br />permitted accessory use in the RR> 1B district. A minimum of two acres of open pasture <br />must be available for a single horse and one additional acre must be available for each <br />additional horse. <br />Section 10.56, Subd. 16 (N) (1): Agricultural Use: When permitted in the underlying <br />zoning district, general cultivation, farming, grazing, nurseries, horticulture, truck <br />farming, and wild crop harvesting shall be allowed in the Shoreland Overlay District <br />except that no such activity shall occur within the shore setback zone.
