CouHcli Member Interference with the Duties and Supervisory Capacity of the City <br />Administrator —Continued <br />White moved, and Murphy seconded, to accept Jay Nygard ’s resignation from his <br />position as Orono City Council Member. <br />Vote: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />2. Approve/Amend <br />Items 14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21 and 21a were added to the Consent Agenda. <br />Murphy moved, and White seconded, to approve the consent agenda as amended. <br />Vote: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />*3. Minutes of the Regular Council Meeting of May 27,2003 <br />Murphy moved, and White seconded, to approve the Minutes of the Regular Council <br />Meeting of May 27,2003. <br />Vote: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />PARK COMMISSION COMMENTS—ANDREW MCDERMOTT, <br />REPRESENTATIVE <br />McDermott stated that they were planning their park tour for the September meeting. <br />They hoped to hold an extensive, walking tour of the Lurton property. <br />He, White, and Gappa had attended a West Hemicpin trail system meeting. There was <br />good discussion, and they were able to advise the other city representatives of steps Orono <br />had already worked through. There was a push for a County Road 19 trail that would start <br />in St. Michael and go through Loretto, Medina, Maple Plain, and could possibly link to <br />the Dakota Rail and run west. The cities plan to get together in the fall to apply for grants. <br />Mayor Peterson stated that Paul Pesek and Rick Rice would be welcomed to the Parks <br />Commission as new members.
