r <br />84970 <br />WHEREAS, the State is about to perform grading, surfacing, retaining <br />wall, drainage, signal and bridge construction and other associated <br />construction upon, along and adjacent to Trunk Highway No. 12 from <br />0.77 miles west of Old Crystal Bay Rotid to 0.31 miles east of Luce <br />Line Trail within the corporate City limits in accordance with State <br />plans, specifications and special provisions designated as State <br />Project No. 2713-75 (T.H. 12-010) and State Aid Projejt <br />No. 152-102-14 and in the records of the Federal Highway <br />Administration as Minnesota Projects NH 012(300) and TEA 0012(300); <br />and <br />tfflEREAS, in connection with the State contract, the traffic control <br />signal system construction to be performed at the intersection of Old <br />Crystal Bay Road and Wayzata Boulevard (Old T.H. 12) will be covered <br />under a separate Agreement between the State and the City of Orono; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the State will use Old Crystal Bay Road as a haul route and <br />then re-construct it as part of State Project 2713-75 and; <br />WHEREAS, the City has e;q>ressed its willingness to participate in the <br />costs of the Old Crystal Bay Road re-construction and associated <br />construction engineering in a lump sum amount as hereinafter set <br />forth; and <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes Section 161.20, subdivision 2 authorizes <br />the Commissioner of Transportation to make arrangements with and <br />cooperate with any governmental authority for the purpose of <br />constructing, maintaining and improving the trunk highway system. <br />I «
