ORDINANCE NO.. 2ND SERIES <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING <br />ORONO ZONING CODE SECTIONS 10.25,10.27 AND 10.28 <br />PERTAINING TO REGULATIONS FOR <br />CONSTRUCTION AND PLACEMENT OF <br />PERSONAL WIRELESS SERVICE ANTENNAS AND TOWERS <br />The City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota does hereby ordain! <br />Sectioo 1. Orono Municipal Zoning Code Section 10.25 (LR-IC District), Subdivision 3 is hereby <br />amended by amending Subdivision 3(BX2) as follows: <br />**B. Personal Wireless Service Antennas and Towers. <br />2. Personal Wireless Service Antennas. Personal wireless service <br />antennas erected on a municipal structure water tower may be allowed as a secondary use by <br />administrative permit, provided they comply with the City policy regarding the use of City- <br />owned property for wireless telecommunication antennas and provided they meet the <br />following conditions: <br />[Conditions a) through i) remain unchanged]’* <br />Section 2. Orono Municipal Zoning Code Section 10.25 (LR- 1C District), Subdivision 4 is hereby <br />amended by adding Subdivision 4(B) to read as follows: <br />“B. Personal Wireless Service Antennas. Personal wireless service antennas erected on a <br />municipal structure other than a water tower may be allowed as a conditional use if they meet <br />the following criteria: <br />1. Such antennas must be in compliance with the City policy regarding the use <br />of City-owned property for wireless telecommunication antennas; <br />2. Such antennas must meet the conditions listed for personal wireless service <br />antennas as a permitted use in the LR-IC Zoning District. <br />3. Such antennas may be located in the following locations: <br />a) Co-located on an existing City emergency warning siren tower. <br />b) Co-located on a replacement City emergency warning siren tower, with <br />a height not to exceed 75 feet <br />Page 1 of 7
