A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF <br />MINNESOTA STATE HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY FOR <br />A ONE DAY MINNESOTA LAWFUL GAMBLING EXEMPT PERMIT <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota State Horticultural Society has applied to the State of <br />Minnesota Gambling Control Board for a Minnesota Lawful Gambling Exempt Permit to conduct <br />lawful gambling activities; and <br />WHEREAS, the Miimesota State Horticultural Society proposes to conduct a one day <br />gambling activity (raffle) as part of the Great Minnesota Plant Swap to be held at Otten Brothers <br />Nursery and Landscaping located at 2350 Wayzata Boulevard West on June 7,2003; and <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota State Horticultural Society is required to obtain tqrproval <br />of the gambling activity fix>m the city in which the activity will occur. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Orono City Council does hereby <br />approve the application for a Minnesota Lawful Gambling Exempt Permit for the Minnesota State <br />Horticultural Society to conduct a one day gambling activity (raffle) at Otten Brothers Nursery and <br />Landscaping on June 7,2003. <br />Adopted at a regular meeting of the Orono City Council this 12th day of May, 2003. <br />ATTEST:Barbara A.
