ITiWr
CITY OF OROVO
P.O. Box 66
Crystal Bay, MN 55323 473-7357
ROnCB OF COORCIL ACTION
Date of Noticei 7/24/90
TOt John Wojcik
3310 Bayaide Road
Long Lake, NN 55356
COPIBSs
TTFB OF AFFLICATIONt Adalnistrative Appeal
DATS OF NRBTINGi 7/23/90 VOTBt 4 For 1 Against
GOONCIL ACTION - MOTIONS
Council granted your appeal of the septic system codes to allow
expansion of existing bedrooms and addition of a second bathroom. Approval
was granted subject to your signing the document to be filed in the chain
of title of the property, warning future property owners that holding tank
may be necessary if the system fails. (City staff will draft such a
document for your review.)
In order for a building permit to be issued, you must provide a survey
of the property verifying the house location and the location of the
additions. If any of the additions are less than 30* from the east lot
line, you will have to apply for a variance, or revise your plans to meet
the 30' setback.
We would suggest that you hire a surveyor immediately to provide such
a survey. Since the variance application deadline for the August 20th
Planning Commission meeting is noon on July 27th, it is critical that the
surveyor immediately determine whether the additions will meet the 30*
setbacks. If not, you could apply for the variance by noon Friday, appear
at the Planning Commission on August 20th, and anticipate final Council
action on Monday, August 27th. (Applications from the August 20th meeting
would normally go to Council on September 10th, but we will fast-track your
application to the August 27th Council meeting if you wish.)
Please contact Mike Gaffron at 473-7357 if you have any questions. A
copy of the variance application is attached for your use should you need
to apply.
