g) i) j) Permits - Prior to the start of any construction, the Developer’s Contractor shall apply for and receive all necessary permits from the City and/or government agencies having jurisdiction. Required City permits relative to the Improvements include the following; Site Grading Permit; Utility Construction Permit; Sewer and Water Connection Permits. Insurance - The Developer will cause each person who constructs and installs any Improvement to maintain complete insurance coverage including Workmen's Compensation, Liability and Property Damage. Developer shall furnish proof of insurance covering any public Contractor’s equipment, laborers and hazard caused by the Improvements. It is additionally agreed that the developer shall submit a written schedule indicating the progress schedule and order of completion of the work covered by this contract. It is further agreed that upon receipt of written notice from the Developer of the existence of causes over which the Developer has no control which will delay the completion of the work, the City Council at its discretion may extend the date hereinbefore specified for completion and that the Letter of Credit shall be extended by the Developer to cover the work during this extension of time. It is specifically understood and agreed that all work covered by contract shall be done at no expense to the City of Orono except as may be provided in the Special Conditions attached hereto and made apart hereof. Copies of all bids, change orders, suppliers, subcontractors, etc. shall be forwarded to the City Engineer for his files. The Developer shall not do any work or furnish any materials not covered by the plans and specifications and Special Conditions of this contract, for which reimbursement is expected from the City, unless such work is first ordered in writing by the City Engineer as provided in the specifications. Any such work or materials which may be done or furnished by the contractor without such written order first being given shall be at his own risk, cost and expense, and he hereby agrees that without such written order he will make no claim for compensation for work or materials so done or furnished. Upon completion of all work required by the City Engineer or his designated representative, a representative of the contractor, and a representative of the Developer’s Engineer will make a final inspection of the work.
