Was to replace all top boards of existing deck and remove old Qjiral
staircase and repl^ with new. MNRusco^lied and was granted a pennit(/flPOS70S) for diis
project
We began to tear off ftce boards and comer plates and found wood rot There was enough rot diat
we concluded foe deck was not structurally sound. Phoned Lyle Oman who came out to job site
and slopped foe project and requested that the Homeowner file a variance ^plication.
bi foe new application it is foe Homeowners request to fill in foe nddfoe space of foe current
deck. Deck in its current form is a shape. The deck would be completely replaced
struoturally, Meet City code and would not extend any closer to foe lakeshore than its current
form.
Under foe existing deck is an aggregate patio. We will need to cut into to patio for dnee new
footings for support posts. Again, foe new deck or hardcover would not extend ai^ closer to shore
line than foe existing patio. The center part of foe current deck would be extended out to be flush
with ends, thus some of foe middle would be wifoin foe 75 ’ set back, but not any fiirther foan foe
current hardcover of the patio. This project would have no effect on rain&U nm-off.
Please do not hesitate to contact me at (952)935-9669 if you have my questions.
Sincerely,
ToddObek
Production Manager
MN Rusco, Inc.
