Notice of Hearing on Proposed Assessment <br />Notice is hereby given that the Orono City Council will hold an assessment hearing on March 24, <br />2003 at 7:00 p.m. in the Orono Council Chambers, 2780 Kelley Parkway to consider and pass upon <br />the proposed assessment for the North Arm Lane pavement project improvements. The following <br />is the area to be assessed. <br />The following properties in Hennepin County Minnesota: <br />06-117-23-24-0001 <br />06-117-23-24-0008 <br />06-117-23-24-0011 <br />06-117-23-24-0012 <br />06-117-23-24-0013 <br />06-117-23-24-0014 <br />06-117-23-24-0015 <br />215 North Arm Lane <br />370 North Arm l.ane <br />366 North Arm Lane <br />360 North Arm Lane <br />340 North Arm Lane <br />350 North Arm Lane <br />345 North Arm Lane <br />The propo.scd assessment roll is on file f >r public inspection at the City Clerk's office. The total <br />amount of the proposed assessment is $16,000. Such assessment shall be payable in equal annual <br />installments, the first year of the installments to be payable on or before the first Monday in January <br />2004 and shall bear interest at the rate of 6.25 percent per annum from the date of the adoption of <br />the assessment resolution. <br />Written or oral objections w ill be considered at the meeting. No appeal may be taken as to the <br />amount of an assessment unless a signed written objection is filed with the clerk prior to the hearing <br />or presented to the presiding officer at the hearing, fhe Council may upon such notice consider any <br />objection to the amount of a proposed individual assessment at an adjourned meeting upon such <br />further notice to the affected property owners as it deems advisable. <br />If an assessment is contested or there is an adjourned hearing, the following procedure will be <br />followed: <br />1. The City w ill present its case first by calling w itnesses who may testify by narrative <br />or by examination, and by the introduction of e.xhibits. After each wimess has <br />Page 1 of 2
