it <br /># <br />A PROCLAMATION <br />RECOGNIZING THE ORONO HIGH SCHOOL BOYS HOCKEY TEAM <br />FOR AN OUTSTANDING SEASON <br />CULMINATING IN A THIRD PLACE FINISH <br />IN THE STATE HOCKEY TOURNAMENT <br />WHEREAS, the Orono High School Boys Hockey Team had an outstanding season <br />culminating in a trip to the State Tournament; and <br />WHEREAS, the Team had a successful tournament winning two games and earning a third <br />place trophy; and <br />WHEREAS, the Team's ability to rise to the occasion to win the third place game is a <br />testament to the Team’s resiliency, heart, and dctcmiination; and <br />WHEREAS, the Orono Hockey Team’s special achievement reflects positively on the <br />Gciioui Dibit it. i, ub well ub oil liie cuitimuniucs in the Sciiooi District; anti <br />WHEREAS, it is a privilege and a pleasure to be associated with such a quality group of <br />student athletes. <br />NOW, IHERLFORE, BE IT RESOL\ ED THAT the Orono City Council does hereby <br />oiler its congratulations to the Orono High School Boys Hockey Team for an outstanding season <br />culminating in a third place finish in the State Hockey Tournament, and docs also express its pride <br />in, and appreciation for, the hard work, dedication, and outstanding play of the Team throughout the <br />season, and particularly in the State Hockey Tournament. <br />Adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting held on March 10. 2003 <br />ATTEST: <br />Linda S.
