Carson, City Attorney for the City of Maple Plain <br />RE: FIRE SERVICE PAYMENTS <br />At the regular City Council meeting held on Monday, Februaiy 24,2003, the City Council of the <br />City of Orono approved the payment of all outstanding unpaid claims for fire scr\ ice provided to <br />the City of Orono by the fire department of the City of Maple Plain. <br />With the deposit of the enclosed check, in the amount of $99,096.30. the City of Maple Plain <br />stipulates and agrees that said check is payment in full of all claims for the service years 2000, <br />2001 and 2002; and also stipulates and agrees that said check represents payment in full for any <br />and all other claims from the City of Maple Plain against the City o! Orono, in so far as all fire <br />ser% ice and/or fire service related charges, ''laims or costs, whether past or present, up to and <br />including the contract termination date of December 31, 2002, whether those charges, claims or <br />costs be now known, or unknown. <br />The City of Orono has previously made known, but again wishes to express its appreciation for <br />the fire protection services provided by the fire department of Maple Plain, and wishes to thank <br />the members of the fire department for the many years of fine sen ice. <br />Trusting this now concludes all financial obligation on the part of the City of Orono to the city of <br />Maple Plain with regards to the provision of fire protection. <br />Sincerely, <br />Thomas M.
