Box 66 <br />Crystal Bay, MN 55323 <br />RE: Fire Service Payments <br />Dear Mr. Moorse: <br />The City of Maple Plain has turned over to me the issue of past amounts due from the <br />City of Orono for fire service. I enclose copies of information that you have received for the <br />three year period that monies are owed. As you can see, the amount owed through 2002 of <br />$99,096.30 is a considerable amount of money. The City of Maple Plain demands payment <br />immediately. <br />Under Minnesota law, municipalities are charged interest for all outstanding debts <br />over 30 days. If the above amount is not paid by the end of February 2003,1 am going to <br />recommend to the City Council that suit be brought to collect the amounts owed, plus <br />interest. Your prompt attention to this matter will be appreciated.
