Variance Request: To permit <br />2,313 s.f (35.34%) hardcover where 1.963.5 s.f (30%) is allowed. <br />Application Summary: <br />The applicant is requesting rear yard setback and side yard adjacent street and hardcover in <br />250-500 ’ setback zone variances to construct a new attached garage with a second story on the <br />property. <br />DiKu^ion: <br />The property currently has a single family residence on it that was built in 1951. The <br />applicant wishes to add onto it and has explored several different options. Due to the <br />condition of the foundation, location of the existing residence, and size of the property, the <br />only feasible option is to add a second story. A structural engineer visited the property and <br />determined the existing foundation could not bear more weight without being replaced. The <br />applicant got an estimate to replace it under the residence and decided to only add a second <br />story over the garage. <br />The applicaiit is proposing to remove the existing garage and construct a new two suit
