She inquired whether the applicant should be given <br />further direction with regard to maintaining the erosion control throughout the winter, item <br />While erosion control was necessary, Gaffron could not predict when the shoreline might <br />fail. Gaffron had no further recommendations other than to ensure the erosion control <br />measures stay in place. <br />Hawn asked if the Planning Commission couiu nprove the riprap portion of the <br />application if something other than boulder walls were proposed. <br />Gaffron indicated that the City does not, technically, get involved in the riprap part of the <br />application, however, the riprap becomes an integral part of the whole proposal. He <br />indicated that he would check with the City Engineer to see if he thought the applicant <br />could do riprap without doing the rest of the work that’s needed out there. Although <br />separate issues, these all fit together as part of the system that goes together. <br />Manley agreed that, likely, the entire issue would need to be resolved together.
