At the Ume the Big Island ordinance was adopted the <br />property owners in ownership of lots under 5 acres were given the chance to apply for <br />‘‘record lot suitus" which the owner of this lot did not do. Had this been done a lot area <br />variance would not have been required to build on this lot. Now, the current owner <br />wishes to sell the lot as a buildable lot. and a lot area variance must be granted under the <br />current practices.
