MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br />MONDAY, JULY 19.2004 <br />6:00 o'clock p.m. <br />13. REPORT OF PLANNING COMMISSION REPRESENTATIVES ATTENDING CITY <br />COUNCIL MEETINGS JUNE 2t, 20M AND JULY 12,2004. <br />Jursens reported thet he did not attend the June 28.2004 City Council meeting. However, he <br />infonnally asked about the Veterans Park at Big Island potential sdurndocuncm issue. Gundlach <br />pointed out that City Council made it clear that the City's interests were in keeping the property as a <br />Veterans Park. <br />Rahn reported that at its July 12,2004 City Council meeting, the City Council did not appear to <br />support the Sketch Plan for the M unit proposal on the SW comer of Old Crystal Bay Road and <br />Highway 12. The applicants did not present their Sketch Plan after hearing some City Council <br />comments. Rahn and Gundlach reU]^ that the City may look at unguiding the location during the <br />current development moratorium and leave it at the current 2-acre zoning. <br />14. OTHER ISSUES FOR DISCUSSION <br />There were no other issues for discussion. <br />15.
