An applicaton <br />will not ba considered complete or placed on any meeting agendas until this form is <br />complete and submitted to the City. <br />Minnesota State Statue Section 394.27, Sub^sion 7 requires that a hardship be <br />demonstrated in order for a variance to be granted. The hardship must be unique to the <br />property as varianoes nin with the land not the land owner. Peraonal and economic <br />siuat/ons ere not consfderad valid hardships. In order for an appTicatlon to be heard by <br />the Planning Commission and City Coundl a hardship having merit must be <br />demonstrated. <br />HOW DO I PROVE A HARDSHIP? <br />This form hat 12 points outlining tha basis City staff usaa to detarmlne V a hardship <br />axista and how the variance will effect the surrounding communRy. To prova a hardship, <br />address ell the relevant points listed below end answer them at clearly as poasibte. <br />Since you are requesting the code exception, you have the burden of proving that the <br />variance to Justiftod. The Information the City receives is what is used in determining a <br />denial or approval recommendation.
