This iqmft provides infinmndon as to the ^minant wettand chanctchstics at <br />the site as requested by the applicani, <br />LOCATION <br />Southeast 'A, Southeast Section 32 <br />Township 118, Range 23 <br />METHODOLOGY <br />Wetlands were identified and delineated using the 1987 Corps of Engineers Wetlands <br />Delineation Manual (U.S. Anny Corps of Engineers, 1987). The wetland and/or deep <br />water habitat were classified accordi^ to the methodologies set forth in Wetlands of the <br />United States (USFWS Circular 39, Shaw and Fredine, 1956) and Classification of <br />Wetlands and Deep Water Habitant of the United Slates (FWS/OBS Publication 79/31* <br />Cowardin et. Al. 1979). <br />CHARCTERISTICS OF SITES INVESTIGATED <br />Checksite A.I.a <br />This is a Type 1 (PEMl Ah) zone of Type 4 (PUBFh) wetland. Dominant species are <br />American Elm (FACW+), Common Buckthorn (FAC-), and Wild Black Currant <br />(FACW). Soils arc Marsh, a wetland soil. Wetland hydrology is present The site is <br />ponded. <br />Checksite A l b <br />This is a non-wclland checksite. Dominant species arc Box Elder (F ACW), Common <br />Buckthorn (FAC-) and Bugle (UPL). Soils are Hamel, a wetland soil. Sur&ce hydrology <br />is not evident, as site is not flooded, ponded, or saturated within one foot of the surface or <br />in a wetland drainage pattern. <br />CWkrirg A n.a <br />This is a Type 3 (PEMlCd) wetland checksite. Dominant species are Reed Canary Grass <br />(FACW+) and Sedge (OBL). Soils are Glencoe, a wetland soil. Wetlmid hydrology is <br />present The site is saturated within one-foot of surfke and In a wetland drainage <br />pattern.
