Currently there is no garage on the applicants’ properly and <br />the existing home is located 105 ’ from the front lot line and with a 135 ’x 50 ’ lot there is no <br />conforming location to construct a detached garage. <br />Planning Commission Recommendation <br />On November 15, 2004, the Plamiing Commission voted 7-0 on a motion to approve the variance as <br />requested subject to the applicant reorienting the garage so as to have the 20 ’ width closest to the street <br />and the 30' width facing the side yards. There was also a stipulation that should the applicant not win <br />the bid for the 20 ’ x 30 ’ City garage a 24 ’ x 24 ’ garage may be constructed in the proposed location. <br />Planning Staff Recommendation <br />Approval of the variances per the attached Resolution. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Adopt or amend the attached Resolution.
