f. In a shared driveway situation, the applicant shall demonstrate that the <br />appropriate easement exists. <br />g. Minimum lot size of 5 acres. For any property at least 2 acres but less than <br />5 acres in area, where it can be shown that prior to the effective date of <br />this ordinance such a vehicle was previously stored on a regular basis prior <br />to and after January 1,2004, a Vehicle Storage pemiit may be granted if <br />the above conditions a. tlirough f. are met, subject also to the following <br />limitations: <br />1) A Vehicle Storage Permit may only be issued for properties within <br />the RR-IB, RR-1 A. and LR-l A zoning districts. <br />2) Such pennit shall be granted only to the cunent property owner <br />and only for the specific veliicle applied for. Tlie current owner may <br />replace the vehicle in kind, but shall not add otlier such vehicles. <br />Any replacement vehicle must be registered with the City within <br />30 days to transfer its permitted status. <br />3) This pennit shall not apply to subsequent property owners. <br />Subsequent property owners shall not be considered as having a <br />grandfathered pennit by virtue of their predecessor’s pennit. <br />4) Tliis ixrmiit shill automatically ajid pcnnanently expire i f tire vehicle <br />storage is voluntarily discontinued for a period of one year. <br />SECTION 2. Ordinance No. 5, Third Series adopted December 8,2003 and entitled “An Ordinance <br />Adopting the 2004 Fee Schedule and Repealing Ordinance No. 224, Second Series”, is amended to <br />include the following language: <br />“Permit Type Fee Applicable Code Section <br />Vehicle Storage Pennit S30.00 Sec. 78-1577(C) <br />SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be published in THE PIONEER and THE LAKER newspapers and <br />shall be effective upon approval and publication. <br />Adopted by the City Council of Orono on this 8th day of November, 2004 by a vote of <br />___ayes and ____nays. <br />ATTEST: <br />Linda S.
