Jay requested to return to the status of patrol officer for personal reasons. <br />Jay served tf Orono Police Department as a Patrol Supervisor, the Training and Development <br />Coordinator, the Field Training Coordinator, the Reserve Coordinator and recently assumed <br />oversight for the Citizens Academy. He will be transferring all of the primary responsibility for <br />these duties, and wishes to remain active with field training, the Reserve Program and the <br />Citizens Academy. <br />It is with great regret that the Police Department recommends that the Orono City Council <br />consider his request. As a patrol officer. Jay will remain a respected, productive member of the <br />Orono Police E)epartmcnl. <br />This change in status, does not preclude Jay Dembouski from applying for and being considered <br />for a promoted position in the future. <br />C'OlIN('IL ACTION RKOL ’ES I El): <br />Motion to accept the voluntary return to the rank of patrol officer of Sergeant Jay Dembouski, <br />effective August 16, 2004.
