h <br />Caution <br />It is important to caution the neighborhood residents that, although the proposed project will <br />provide substantial drainage improvements that will be effective for smaller rain events, they <br />will be less effective for large rain events. Because of the flat topography and low level of this <br />area in relation to Lake Miiuietonka, and especially when there is a high lake level, temporary <br />ponding of water in the street and in the yards in this area may still occur during large rain <br />events. <br />Funding <br />Because all of the improvements to be made as part of this project are directly related to <br />solving drainage problems, it is recommended that this project be fully funded from the City ’s <br />Storm Water Fund. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Conduct neighborhood informational meeting to obtain resident input on this project and then <br />provide a recommendation for the preferred alterative and authorize staff to develop final plans and <br />obtain quotations for this project. <br />Page 4 of 4
