MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />Monday, May 10, 2004 <br />7:00 o’clock p.m. <br />4. /^04-3003 Bruce & Kristine Paddock with George W. Stickney, 3250 Fox Street, <br />Continued <br />George Stickney commented that he also was glad to see it reduced to three lots and in doing so, kept <br />the driveways winding through standing trees and environmentally friendly. <br />McMilian moved, seconded by Murphy, to approve RESOLUTION NO. 5169 approving the <br />preliminary plat application of Bruce and Kristine Paddock and George W. Stickney at <br />3250 Fox Street. <br />V'OTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0 <br />*5. 2004 JOINT USE DOCK LICENSES (RENEWALS) - RESOLUTIONS NO. 5170 <br />Murphy moved, seconded by McMillan, to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 5170 and directing staff <br />to bsue joint use dock license to Minnetonka Power Squadron for the period January 1,2004 to <br />December 31,2004. <br />VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />*6. Interim Ordinance - Moratorium - Revised Language - Ordinance No. 8,3*^** Series <br />Murphy moved, McMillan seconded, to approve the revised language per Option 2 and adopt <br />Ordinance No. 8,3'*' Series, amending Ordinance No. 7,3'^'' Series, the Interim Ordinance <br />adopted April 12,2004. <br />MAYOR/COUNCTL REPORT <br />Murphy and McMillan attended the highway turnback workshop for business representatives at St. <br />George’s Church. The priorities of the business representatives regarding “old” Highway 12 are to <br />slow traffic down, make it pedestrian friendly, and bury the utilities. Turn out from the business <br />owners was lower than hoped for from Long Lake and Orono. The Highway 12 Turnback <br />Committee would like to try other avenues to get business owner participation. <br />McMillan informed Council that the Highway 12 turnback workshop for residents will be coming up <br />on Thursday, May 20"’. <br />PUBLIC SERVICE DIRECTOR’S REPORT <br />*7. Request for Payment #1 West Farm Road (Homestead) Sewer Project <br />Murphy moved, McMillan seconded, to approve Request for Payment Number 1, West Farm <br />Road (Homestead) Sanitary Sewer project to Red Pederson Utilities Inc. in the amount of <br />S31,744.87. <br />VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />Page 3 of?
