The <br />application was then amended to a Variancc/CUP request for lakeshore bank restoration and <br />preservation , including boulder retaining walls. <br />Planning Commission Recommendation <br />The Planning Commission reviewed the retaining wall plans on May 17 and on a vote of 7-0 <br />recommended that the plans be approved, subject to the recommendations of the City Engineer in his <br />letter of May 12, and subject to a condition that the concrete rip-rap and debris in the ravine be <br />cleaned up. Applicant has agreed to these conditions. Applicant has also agreed to provide the City <br />with a sewer maintenance easement. Staff ha.s added a condition that an unspecified number of <br />additional trees be added to the lakeshore yard in addition to the two trees proposed, to help re­ <br />establish a wooded shoreline character at this location. <br />Staff Recominendatiuii <br />Approval of the bank restoration and preservation proposal, including the boulder walls, subject to <br />the conditions noted in the attached resolution. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Adopt or amend the attached resolution that denies retention of the boathouse and approves the 0-75’ <br />land alterations.
