ORDINANCE NO___, THIRD SERIES <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY OF ORONO ZONING CODE <br />SECTION 78-1405 <br />REGARDING NON E NCROAC 11MENTS <br />The City Council of Orono ordains as follows: <br />Section 1: Municipal Zoning Code Section 78-1405 is hereby revised by adding <br />Subsection (8) which shall read as follows: <br />Sec. 78-1405. Nonencruachnieiils. <br />(8) Entrance monuments, defined for the purpose of this section as a nearly <br />permanent physical structure or object, natural or artificial, used to depict an <br />entrance to the property, erected in all residential y.oniny* districts are considered <br />noncncroacliments when they confonn with the followim’ standards: <br />5L Each monument, with a maximum of two, sliall he limited to a single pi 1!.ir <br />with a tbotprint measuring no larger than 25 square feet and no length to <br />exceed 5’; <br />II The monument must he setback a ininiiinim of 5* from all property boundaries <br />and never fewer titan 10’ from the edge of the pavetl. traveled roadway; <br />£i Plans apd/or elevation views of the proposed monuments ate required to be <br />submitted for .ippr«)val by theJManning_Director; <br />d, All -Sifinage proposed for the monuments must comply with Section 78-1467: <br />5.
