MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />Monday, April 26,2004 <br />7:00 o’clock p.m. <br />MAYOR/Cn'Y COUNCIL REPORT, Continued <br />White suggested that the newspapers get out to the trail and take before and after pictures of the <br />clear cutting. He asked whether the cities had any control over this. <br />Murphy stated that the clear cutting began in Wayzata and the City Hall fielded many calls <br />regarding this issue. While the paper reported that tree trimming would ensue, no one picnired the <br />level of clear cutting which would be the result. <br />PUBLIC SERVICE DIRECTOR’S REPORT - There was none. <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR’S REPORT <br />*16. ORONO WOODS NON-PROFIT SUBSTITUTION - RESOLUTION NO. 5166 <br />.Murphy moved. White seconded, to adopt RESOLl'TION NO. 5166 authorizing the <br />substitution of owner, and authorizing the .Mayor and City Clerk to sign the required <br />documents. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />*17. MHFA REFUND <br />Murphy moved. White seconded, to approve the refund of $8,400 of unused grant funds to <br />MHFA. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />18. CREDIT CARD POLICY <br />Murphy expressed his concern with regard to credit card deals that go astray. He suggested that the <br />City finance department review the policy and set certain limits. <br />Moorsc stated that the credit card will be used for background checks mostly and should never <br />really have to leave the office. He indicated that a limit would be set and that the fmance <br />department would be responsible for any reviews. <br />Murphy moved, White seconded, to approve and adopt the Credit Card Policy, as presented. <br />VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />CITY ATTORNEY’S REPORT <br />Attorney Barrett reported on pending litigation to the Council in a closed S minute session <br />19. LICENSES <br />SPECIAL EVENT PERMIT <br />1.Applicant: Gear West Ski & Bike <br />Event: Run/Bike/Run <br />Location: Orono School Grounds and Surrounding Areas as designated on map <br />Date: Sunday, May 23, 2004 <br />Time: 7:00 a.m. - 1 1 :30 a.m. <br />Murphy moved.
