Council deliberation City Review The City s authority and concern in its review of the liquor license application is the proi.ction of the public health, safety ^d welfare. The City ’s review of the application has address^ this concern in two ways. One is through a background investigation of the applicant for the liquo. license. The second is through a review of the impacts on the area properties of granting the on- sale liquor license. The Police Department has conducted a background investigation of the applicant. Based on the results of the investigation, the Police Department is recornmending denial of the liquor license.
