Box 66 <br />Crystal Bay, MN 55323 <br />Re: #1763 Woodhill Country Club <br />File No. 139-1763 <br />Pear Mike: <br />We have reviewed the topographic detail plan submitted with the conditional use permit <br />application for land alterations at the Woodhill Country Club. The two engineering issues <br />to be noted are the proposed steep slopes and erosion control to protect a DNR protected <br />water, identified as Basin No. 27-852P. The protected water is located at the downstream <br />end of an existing 36" CMPA culvert. <br />The side slopes of ib£ proposed safety berms are <:hown at 2.5 to 1 (horizontal to vertical). <br />These slopes will be difficult to maintain and will be prone to excessive erosion until the <br />proposed sodding has had an adequate time to establish a strong root base. This may not <br />be established until well into the spring season. The entire grading area covers <br />approximately 3 acres and an erosion control plan should be submitted for our review. <br />Specifically, silt fence should be installed along the southwestern perimeter of the grading <br />area that has direct runofi to the protected water.
