Box 66 <br />Crystal Bay, NN <br />473-7357 <br />ZONING FILB 11748 <br />55323 NOTICE OF PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION <br />Date of Notice: July 24, 1992 <br />TO:Mr. 4 Mrs. Robert Hovland COPIES TO: <br />12950 Hwy. 55 <br />Plymouth, MM 55441 <br />TYPE OF APPLICATION: Variance <br />DATE OF MEETING: July 20, 1992 VOTE: 4 For 0 Against <br />Planning Conission r nda the following: <br />Planning Conuaission recommended denial for reasons noted below: <br />A.Your proposed detached garage shown at a total 990 s.f. in area, <br />must meet 15* setback. The Planning Commission asked for a <br />reduction in size and you advised that because of your special <br />storage needs that it was impossible to reduce the 30'x33* <br />proposed structure. <br />B.With the proposed addition of 990 s.f. of structure to the <br />property, there is now an overage of 62 s.f. of lot coverage <br />(allowed 1,765 s.f., proposed 1,827 s.f.). Applicants advised <br />Planning Commission that they could not reduce the accessory <br />structure even by 62 s.f. to meet lot coverage requirements. <br />C.Planning Commission could not accept the hardships set forth by <br />applicants as to special storage needs of your son who shall <br />reside at the residence. <br />Mrs. Hovland, per our recent phone conversation, you have asked to meet <br />with me in the early a.m. to discuss an amended proposal. It is your <br />intention to meet with me the week of August 3rd and to review the space <br />needs of the structure and to determine ws;at kind of reductions can be made <br />in order to minimize the intensity of the variances sought in the current <br />proposal. <br />It was also agreed tltat you would send a letter requesting the Council to <br />refer your application back to the Planning Commission at their August 17, <br />1992 meeting. Your request will be presented to the Council at the August <br />10th Council meeting and will be placed on the consent agenda and will not <br />require your attendance at the meeting. Please contact my office if you <br />have further questions concerning the directives of the Planning Commission <br />or my statements reviewing the purpose of your phone call. <br />4
