For properties which as <br />a result of the designation of the OHWL are found to <br />abut the boundary of a lake, steam, or tributary, no <br />section of this Code shall be constucted as <br />obligating the City of Orono to approve variances to <br />provisions of the Code prohibiting physical <br />improvements, structures or land alteration within <br />protected wetlands, flood plain areas or shorelands. <br />Nothing in the Code shall be considered as <br />establishing or increasing riparian rights.
