Please let <br />me know if you have any questions. <br />1. Indications are made that approximately 16 acres of land will be disturbed. If 10 or more acres of that <br />portion are draining to a common point of discharge, then a temporary sediment basin is required. None <br />are indicated on the included plan. Please clarify and provide drainage calculations. <br />2. Hauling should commence along Old Crystal Bay road and not along TH 12. This area remains difficult <br />to maintain with street sweeping equipment and off site tracking has been a substantial issue with Ames <br />Construction in the past for the TH 12 project. <br />3. in addition, if there are any curb and gutter openings along Old Crystal Bay road inlet protection devices <br />will be required. <br />4. The material is a clay loam soil and therefore turbidity will be an issue. Therefore, absolutely no site <br />dewatering shall be done without written consent by the City Engineer. SWPPP should be updated to <br />reflect this change. <br />5. Change MnOOT seed mix 150 to at least an updated MnDOT 2000 specification version. <br />Consideration of the 130B mixture should be given. Also, update the SWPPP and erosion control plan <br />accordingly. <br />6. Indication should be made on the site map exactly where the stockpile of 22,000 cubic yards of topsoil <br />will be made, and what treatments will be provided. Again update the SWPPP accordingly. Careful <br />consideration should be made as to placement of this pile not being in a conveyance for site drainage. <br />7. How much of the 5' berms will be constructed with the 25,000 cubic yards of imported fill? Also, <br />blanket will need to be installed on those 3:1 slopes, immediately after construction so staples are <br />possible.
