GWMHS was formerly known as Wright County Humane Society. The police <br />department has been satisfied with the service as provided by GWMHS. As such the police <br />department recommends a^Noval of the annual contract with GWMHS. The police department is <br />not aware of other providm in this area that can offer the same level of service. In fact many local <br />facilities do not want to deal with impounded animals. <br />ACTION REQUESTED; <br />A motion to approve entering into a contract with Greater West Metro Humane Society for 2006 <br />animal impounding and related services in exchange for a base fee of $3,966 plus other specified <br />incidental charges such as emergency vet service or euthanasia as may be need from time to time.
