Memorandum <br />November 16,2005 <br />Planning Commission <br />Janice Gundlach, City Planner ^ <br />05*3162: Proposed Entranee Monument Ordinance Amendment <br />This amendment is in response to a recent appeal of a staff interpretation of the entrance <br />monument ordinance (as we recently amended the non*encroachments section in May of <br />2004). The attached amendment includes revisions requested by the City Fire Marshall <br />and also discussion by the City Council, at a September work session, and also the <br />discussion that took place at your work session of November 2,2005. <br />This amendment aims to clarify maximum gate height, when attached to entrance <br />monuments, and also to establish revised horizontal widths between monuments for <br />emergency vehicle access. <br />The Commission should review the proposed revisions, hold a public hearing, and make <br />a recommendation to the City Council. <br />ATTACHMENT - Proposed Ordinance Amendment <br />■r. • <br />■> ■ * . <br />'.i'} -1 <br />. r = ;; v-v : -V-:' <br />• • t
