CONDENSED MINUTES OF THE ANNUAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF <br />EDUCATION <br />OF ORONO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 278 <br />HELD ON JULY 11, 2005 <br />The annual meeting of the Board of Education of Orono Independent <br />School District No. 276 was held on Tuesday, July 11, 2005. <br />Present: Jack Veach <br />Michele Kunz <br />Mike Bash <br />John Malone <br />Karen Orcutt <br />Neal Lawson <br />Absent: Dick Lewis <br />Martha Van de Ven <br />Nominations for chairperson were requested by Dr. Orcutt. <br />Michele Kunz MOVED, John Malone seconded that Jack Veach be <br />nominated as chairperson, that nominations cease and that Mr. <br />Veach be elected by xinanimous ballot. Motion carried. <br />Mike Bash MOVED, Michele Kunz seconded that John Malone be <br />nominated as vice chairperson, that nominations cease and that Mr. <br />Malone be elected by unanimous ballot. Motion carried. <br />UPON MOTION by Mike Dash, seconded by John Malone, the yearly <br />salary for Clerk was established as $5C0 and for Treasurer as <br />$100. Motion carried. <br />John Malone MOVED, Mike Bash seconded that Michele Kunz be <br />nominated as clerk, that nominations cease and that Ms. Kiinz be <br />elected by unanimous ballot. Motion carried. <br />Michele Kunz MOVED, Mike Bash seconded that Dick Lewis be » <br />nominated as treasurer, that nominations cease and that Mr. Lewis <br />be elected by unanimous ballot. Motion carried. <br />UPON MOTION by Mike Bash, seconded by John Malone, the Board of <br />Education authorized the signature plates of officers for 2005- <br />2006. Motion carried. <br />UPON MOTION by Mike Bash, seconded by Michele Kunz, the consent <br />agenda was approved as follows: <br />approved the minutes of the June 13, 2005 regular meeting; <br />approved the appointment of Melanie DeWitt as the Early <br />Literacy Intervention Specialist for the 2005-06 school <br />year; <br />approved the appointment of Corina Graner as a special <br />education teacher at Orono High School for the 2005-06 <br />school year; <br />]
