Moonc <br />Titk City Administrator <br />Administrator Reviewed:Agenda Section: <br />City Administrator's Report <br />Item DeMription: Three Rivers Park Dtotritft Request for Limited Firearms Use Permit <br />for Managed Deer Hunt in Baker Park_________ <br />Three Rivers Park District has applied for a limited firearms use permit to enable a managed, <br />two-day, shotgun deer hunt in Baker Park on November 26 and 27. The City approved a similar <br />permit and deer hunt in 1997. It is recommended the permit be approved with the following <br />conditions: <br />• Short range firearms only (shotguns, muzzle-loaders, legal handguns) <br />• Notification of abutting property owners by letter 7-10 days in advance of the proposed <br />hunt <br />• Posting of appropriate signage around the Park boundaries to prevent unauthorized <br />access during the hunt <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion to approve the Three Rivers Park District request for a limited firearms use permit to <br />enable a managed, two-day, shotgun deer hunt in Baker Park on November 26 and 27, with the <br />following conditions: <br />• Use of short-range firearms only (shotguns, muzzle-loaders, legal handguns) <br />• Notification of abutting property owners by le .ier 7-10 days in advance of the proposed <br />hunt <br />• Posting of appropriate signage around the Park boundaries to prevent unauthorized <br />access during the hunt <br />h
